Outdoor Adventures offers TAMU-CC community member the opportunity to explore and try new things! We Clinics for surfing, kayaking, horseback riding, and so much more! We also offer trips to many of Texas' state parks and National Parks around the U.S.

Workshops, clinics, and trips are open to all currently enrolled students, faculty, staff, alumni, and the campus community unless otherwise noted. Preregistration may be required for some events. For information regarding trip registration and cancellation policies, refer here.
When you’re there, click “log in” on the top right-hand corner. Click the Islander ID button. Sign in using your TAMU-CC username and password.
Click which excursion you’d like to register for, add to cart and check out.
Equipment Rental
Outdoor Adventures equipment is available for rent to currently enrolled students, faculty, staff, alumni, and the campus community. For more information, contact rec.sports@tamucc.edu.
Hammock Village and The Trailblazer Scholarship
Outdoor Adventures also provides a space for students to relax outside, at our Hammock Village! Available 9 am - 5 pm Monday-Friday, Noon - 3 pm Saturdays (follows the same schedule as the Rental Hours). Dependent on the weather.
The Outdoor Adventure program recognizes that college students have finite funds, so the program provides a unique scholarship opportunity. Submit an application for a chance at 50% off on a rental, or 25% off on a trip registration. Opened periodically, check our Instagram (@islanderrec_adventures) for the scholarship deadlines!
Frequently Asked Questions
Yes, you can reserve equipment up to two weeks in advance for no extra charge. Payment is due in full at the time of pickup. Please call the Welcome Desk at 361-825-2170, Monday-Friday to reserve the equipment.
No. Unfortunately, Outdoor Adventures equipment is not open to the general public for rentals.
Please refer to the Equipment Rental Policies for further clarification, but there will be charges for damaged/broken/lost or late rental returns.
