Graduate Awards Ceremony 2021

The Outstanding Graduate Awards recognize graduate students, faculty, and alumni for exceptional achievements and contributions both academically and professionally.

2024-2025 Outstanding Award Nominations - NOW OPEN!
The deadline to submit nominations is January 31, 2025.

Awards include:

  • Outstanding Master's Student
  • Outstanding Doctoral/MFA Student
  • Outstanding Master's Mentor Award
  • Outstanding Doctoral/MFA Mentor Award
  • Outstanding Islander Impact Award (alumni award)

Nominations may be submitted by faculty, staff, or students. Self-nominations are not permitted. To be eligible for a student award, the nominee must be in good academic standing (minimum 3.75 GPA) and be making exceptional progress towards their degree. Students must also have taken at least 50% of their required graduate coursework at TAMU-CC. To be eligible for the Outstanding Islander Impact Award, the nominee must have earned their Master's or Doctoral degree from TAMU-CC.

Once the nominee has been verified as eligible by the Office of Student Research and Innovation, they will be provided information regarding the next steps of the process, which will include the completion of an application, providing a personal statement, and obtaining two letters of support. Eligible nominees will be required to submit their application by February 21, 2025.

Award recipients will be honored during Graduate Student Appreciation Week, April 7-11, 2025.
