Women’s History Month at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi

March 1st - March 31st

In observance of Women’s History Month (March 1-31), Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi is celebrating by hosting a variety of events on campus offering enriching conversations, presentations, and showcases that provide varied perspectives and contributions of Women to TAMU-CC, the Coastal Bend and beyond. March 24 — Movie Screening: “Corpus: A Home Movie for Selena" | Mary and Jeff Bell Library | Noon - 1:00p.m.
Celebrate Women’s History Month with Selena vibes! Join the library for a special screening of Corpus: A Home Movie for Selena, a heartfelt documentary made right here in Corpus Christi. March 24 — Ladies Night | Dugan Wellness Center | 6:00p.m.-8:00p.m.
Ladies Night is full of fun, fitness related activities that all seek to encourage women in their health journeys. We want women to bond through fitness and find confidence in the gym. We will have a day full of tabling from women-owned businesses, group fitness classes, women only access for 2 hours, and a raffle gift giveaway for the girls! March 25 — Selena Painting Class | Mary and Jeff Bell Library (2nd Floor) | Noon - 2:00p.m.
Celebrate Women’s History Month with a fun, Selena‑themed painting class at the library! No experience is needed, just bring your creativity and get ready to channel the Queen of Tejano. All art supplies are provided while supplies last, and you’ll take home your own Selena‑inspired masterpiece. Come for the art, stay for the vibes! March 26 — Movie Screening: “Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret” | University Center Swordfish 324 |4:00p.m. - 6:30p.m.
Sociology and Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies will be organizing a movie screening of "Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret." The movie will be followed by a discussion on various aspects of embodied experiences. Free food will be provided to all attendees.
