Transportation Advisory Committee
Purpose or Function: The Transportation Advisory Committee will provide advice and assistance with matters related to traffic, pedestrian, and parking and provide input regarding parking locations, parking fees/fines, shuttle bus operations, and pedestrian and other modes of transportation on campus.
Parking appeals are handled by the Transportation Advisory Committee’s Parking Appeals Subcommittee. Each semester, the subcommittee’s chair will submit a report of appeals heard by the subcommittee to the full committee.
Membership: The committee is chaired by the Director of University Services and consists of one (1) representative each from Faculty Advisory Council, Staff Council, Student Government Association, Environmental, Health & Safety, University Police Department, and Events Services. The Director of Operations and the Associate Vice President for Operations serve as voting ex-officio members. Representatives are appointed by their unit supervisors unless otherwise noted. Representatives from Faculty Senate, Staff Council, and Student Government Association serve one-year renewable terms. Other representatives serve two-year renewable terms.

Parking Appeals Subcommittee
Chair: Director of Operations for University Auxiliaries
Membership: The subcommittee is chaired by the Director of Operations for University Auxiliaries and includes one (1) representative from each of the following areas: Faculty Advisory Council, Staff Council, University Police Department, Contractor on campus (appointed by the Vice President of Finance and Administration). Members will be appointed by their respective units or supervisors unless otherwise noted. The Student Government Association will also appoint one (1) student residing in Islander Housing and one (1) commuter student. Representatives from the Faculty Advisory Council, Staff Council, and students serve one-year renewable terms. Representatives from the University Police Department and the contractor serve two-year renewable terms. All subcommittee members other than the chair should not serve on the Transportation Advisory Committee.
