TAMU-CC CODE BLUE: University Operations Update

Texas A&M-Corpus Christi remains in remote operations today, July 8. On Tuesday, July 9, the university will resume in-person business operations while continuing remote classes. In-person classes will resume on Wednesday, July 10.

Employees who are unable to return to work by July 9 should contact their direct supervisor for guidance. Students who are unable to return to class in-person by July 10 should first contact their professor for more information; additional student concerns can be directed to the Office of the Dean of Students at deanofstudents@tamucc.edu. Supervisors and faculty should be flexible with employees and students who may be experiencing impacts from the storm, especially for those who evacuated to the Houston area, where the storm made eventual landfall.

Resident students can return to campus housing after 2 p.m. today. More information about resident students returning to campus housing will be sent to their Islander email.

While barricades placed at university entrances will come down today at 2 p.m., faculty, staff, and students are strongly encouraged to wait until Tuesday, July 9, to return to main campus so the facilities team has time to assess buildings for any damages.

Upon employee return tomorrow, July 9, please remove protective covers from computers and plug them back into their outlets. If you need assistance with this process, call the IT Service Desk at 361.825.2692.

President Miller and the Incident Command team appreciate everyone’s patience and cooperation during this weather event.
