Incident Command Team Monitoring Upcoming Weather
Dear faculty and staff,
The Island University Incident Command Team is actively monitoring weather conditions to assess any potential impacts to university operations. In the next few days, heavy rain and flooding are possible. Any changes to business operations will be sent via Code Blue.
I encourage all Islanders to make both personal and professional preparedness plans. This includes being prepared to potentially work and teach remotely this week should extreme weather impact our area.
Please take the following actions to ensure readiness:
- Review your business and academic continuity plans
- Ensure your Code Blue information is current to receive timely notifications
- Stay informed by regularly checking your Islander email and monitoring local weather forecasts
- Access remote work resources via the Anytime, Anywhere Access on IT’s Service Portal
Thank you for your attention to these preparations as we navigate this potential weather event. Your safety remains our top priority.
Sincerely,
Kelly M. Miller, Ph.D.
