The Honors Program at TAMU-CC provides you the opportunity to challenge yourself as a scholar, to make a difference in your community, and to work and build collaborative relationships with your peers. All the students we accept will be eligible for one or more scholarships, will be offered a space in the Honors Residence Hall and will have the opportunity to study in a supportive environment in the Honors Lounge. Students graduate knowing that they have the skills necessary to succeed in the workplace and in graduate or professional schools.
Application Review Criteria
High school seniors who wish to apply should have a GPA of 3.5 or above, based on TAMU-CC’s converted, 4-point scale. Current TAMU-CC sophomores and transfer students should have a GPA of 3.5 in completed college coursework.
Those who pass this first stage will be invited to interview with members of the Admissions Committee. Applicants will be notified within 14 days of their interview whether they have been accepted into the Program or placed on a waitlist.
